Bruce Pearson

Bruce Pearson will be showing a range of paintings, prints and sketches derived from experiences of wildlife and the natural world.
His starting point is the field experience as pure observation is the raw material. The restlessness of birds, animals and sometimes insects are what fascinates; as well as the rhythm of the landscape and the space the creatures inhabit.
Sometimes people working in wild places also help create powerful images and dramatic themes.
Back in the studio the work is viewed in a new light and the ideas developed as paintings and prints.

ORCA – Looking out for Whales and Dolphins

ORCA is one of Europe’s leading whale and dolphin charities. With our unique take on marine conservation ORCA is entirely dedicated to studying and protecting whales, dolphins and porpoise in UK and European waters. We work to monitor whale and dolphin populations, help protect vulnerable whale and dolphin habitats and help save large whales from being hit by ships.  Together with governments, research institutions and other conservation charities we strive to create safer places for whales and dolphins.

The identification of important whale and dolphin populations and habitats is carried out by ORCA Marine Mammal Surveyors, who are all volunteers.  This is what makes us unique. Be getting members of the public to join our team, we are not just helping to save whales and dolphins: we are also giving people from all walks of life an opportunity to be close to these amazing animals in the wild, while collecting vital information to help us work.

ORCA’s mission is to give everyone who cares about whales and dolphins an active role to safeguard their future.
