The British Birdwatching Fair is held each year at Egleton Nature Reserve, Rutland Water. Egleton is at the western end of Rutland Water and can be reached via the A6003 from Uppingham or Oakham from the west, and from Stamford (A606/A1) from the East. Follow signs for the Birdwatching Centre from both roads. From London and the South-East: A1 North, West on A606 to Oakham.From North-East: A1 South, West on B668 to Oakham.From South-West: M5 North, M42, M6 South, M69 Leicester, A47 Uppingham, A6003 Oakham.From North-West: M6 South, A50 East, A6, A6006 to Melton Mowbray, A606 to Oakham.

Courtesy Bus

We run a courtesy bus service between the Fair and Oakham railway station. On Friday and Saturday the bus meets all trains arriving between 9:15 and 11:30 am and returns between 3:30 and 5:30 pm.
